BUTTERFLY MOBILE

One of the projects that we made at Stamp Club this month were the cutest butterfly mobiles.  We used the Big Shot Adhesive Sheets to adhere designer paper to ice cream cartons (we’re great recyclers here in Taranaki!!), and then ran them through our Big Shots to create these cute butterflies that are just perfect for a mobile.

butterfly mobile karen

Karen got the great idea to not only use the positive cut out butterflies, but also to use the negative pieces as well (the pieces that we would normally throw away).  You can see the negative butterflies at the bottom of Karen’s mobile.

Stamp on!!

FYI - I wanted to photograph Karen as well as her mobile, but she wouldn’t let me … she was probably afraid that if her gorgeous face was shown to the world that there would be a mass of men showing up on her doorstep and her husband wouldn’t appreciate that, so this is as much as I’m allowed to show  … Sorry Karen, couldn’t resist!!!

If you would like to get a few friends together, I will come out and do a class with you and a few friends and show you how easy they are to create!!

RIBBON FLOWERS IN CITRUS …

One of the great things about being a demonstrator is that we get monthly magazines from Stampin’ Up! that show us all sorts of techniques, and while I had read about ribbon flowers a few months ago I hadn’t actually tried them, so when my wonderful downline, Kathy, showed me how she did one and how simple they really were I just knew I had to share with my Stamp Club ladies!  The absolute best best thing about being a demonstrator is that between our Stampin’ Up! family and customers there are so many wonderful new friends to be made!!

ribbon flower card

So this is one of the projects that we made at Stamp Club this month, a simple card that highlights the cute ribbon flower.  What do you think of that funky colour combo?  Pretty cool, huh?  I really like the Tangerine Tango colour, but I hadn’t added it to Pacific Point before, but I really like how the colours work together …

While Stamp club for this year will finish in October, we have brand new Stamp Clubs starting again in January that will run until October next year.  If you want to know how you can get this fabulous monthly class for free!  Not only is a great way to work your wish list down slowly, but you get to meet monthly with some of the most amazing stampers I know as well!  If you want to know more, then drop me an e-mail or call me on (06) 753-5337 and I would love to tell you about how it works!

A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME …

Okay, since I’m going to be away for a while I had to update my blog with something, so you get to see another of our Stamp Club projects from this month.  This cute little bird house is also a box – lift up one side of the roof and you get access to open the box and put some goodies in it – what a cute little gift box!   Now I just need to make a little bird to go on the perch that’s sticking out the front … I see Cheap Talk working perfectly for this, don’t you think?

BUSTING OUT PANSIES …

This is not my original idea, I have seen these pansies all over the net and just had to have a play with the idea myself.  They are so much fun to make and look really awesome in real life (much better than my terrible photo!!).  We will be doing this card for Stamp Club next Monday and Thursday along with a  couple of other projects.

If you want to know how to make these cute pansies, then drop me an e-mail or call me and I would love to come and do a class for you and a few friends and show you all sorts of fabulous flowers to create.

STAMP CLUB BAGGED AGAIN …

I love making bags and boxes and those type of things, so my Stamp Club has done a number of them over the years (hope they don’t mind too much …).  This is the bag that we made this week.

EASEL CALENDAR

We were supposed to do these calendars last month at Stamp Club, but my printer died the day before and I couldn’t print the calendars, so it’s a little later than expected, but we’re doing 2010 calendars this week …  We are also doing a fabulous little bag with 3D cards to match – how cool is that!

If you would like to join a Stamp Club and make projects like these each month, then give me a call on (06) 753-5337 or drop me an e-mail and I’ll tell you all about it.  Not only will you get to stamp and create with a fabulous group of ladies every month, but you’ll get to be hostess and get all sorts of Stampin’ Up! freebees during the year as well!!

Now is the best time of the year to sign up to the wonderful world of Stampin’ Up!, so let me buy you a coffee and I can answer your questions and help you start on your way to building your own crafting business!  I have a fabulous team of demonstrators throughout New Zealand and those that have signed up with me will be getting the instructions on how to this project as well as the other fabulous project we’re making this month in the next few days!   Yet another reason to join my team …

THE LAST STAMP CLUB FOR 2009 ...

I'm so sad, last week we had the last 2 Stamp Clubs for 2009.  I can't believe that 10 months has already flown by so fast!  I'm really going to miss my crazy group of clubbers swinging by each month ... the good news is that January will come around sooner than we think and then we start the craziness all over again!!

SC oct 09 mini bagThis was one of the 3 projects that we did this month.  I thought these little bags were so cute - just perfect for filling with chocolates for a special little gift for someone.

Stamp Club is my favourite class every month - not only do we get to do lots of fun projects, but more importantly I have an amazing group of ladies that come back month after month and year after year and have become so much more than customers - they are wonderful friends as well now.  We have so much fun and spend a lot of time laughing (they pick on me!).  I can't wait until January when Stamp Club 2010 starts again.

If you would like to join a Stamp Club starting in January 2010, you have 3 options:
* 2nd Thursday morning of each month at 9:30am
* 2nd Thursday evening of each month at 6:30pm
* 2nd Monday evening of each month at 6:30pm

To join in the fun, all you have to do is commit to placing a $35 each month from January until October 2010 and to bring some nibbles on the month that you are hostess - that's it!

As a member of a Stamp Club you will:

*  Receive a level 1 set of stamps and $35 in free hostess dollars to spend any way you wish on the month that you are hostess
*  Get free copies of each new catalogue and mini catalogue!
*  Get a free class each month where you get to create projects and learn techniques
*  Get to hang with a fabulous group of ladies each month for a "girl's night out" away from kids and husbands (whoops - did I say that out loud?)

If you confirm your spot in one of the above Stamp Clubs by the end of November, you will also receive a free ink pad from me!  Places are limited to 10 people per session, so hurry and call me on (06) 753-5337 or e-mail me now to make sure you get your first choice of day and time!

Come to Stamp Club for FREE as a member of my downline!

If you sign up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator under me, then each month you can come to Stamp Club for free when your monthly sales hit a certain amount!  It's just another benefit of joining the Stampin' Up! family with me!!  Feel free to call me and I would love to tell you all about it.

STAMP CLUBS ALREADY FILLING UP FOR JANUARY 2010!

If you read my blog, then you would have seen lots of the projects that we have done for Stamp Club over the past 2 1/2 years.  Lots of my "girls" have been with me for that whole time and it is such an amazingly social group that it's my favourite "class" of each month!

I have already had 4 new ladies (apart from my "oldies" coming back) want to sign up for the next round of Stamp Club starting in mid January 2010, so I though I would put a note out there and see if there are any others interested in joining us.  If there is enough interest I will look at opening up an extra day-time Stamp Club as well.

acetate matchbox 2

This is one of the 3 projects that we did this month at Stamp Club.  For those of you who are WE Stamp members, you might recognise this, as this is one of the projects that I provided for the first round that has just finished.  While we don't do many, we will do 1 or 2 of the WE Stamp projects in Stamp Club after each round has finished.

If you are wondering what Stamp Club involves, it's really very simple ...

You can either join a Stamp Club that I have already got running, or if you have a group of friends that are interested in stamping and learning new ideas and techniques in a social atmosphere, then you can get your own group together and I'll come to you (I can provide you with more details if you wish to look at this option).

As a Stamp Club Member this is what you agree to:

· I agree to meet each month for a Stampin’ Up! class hosted by Sharlene to create wonderful works of art.
· I agree to have fun and develop my love of Stamping!
· I agree to be hostess when assigned and to accept all the free gifts and incentives offered to me as such.
· When it is my month to be hostess, I will have to do absolutely nothing but provide my fellow club members a light snack (drink and biscuit is great). As my Stampin’ Up demonstrator, Sharlene will do everything else - set up, plan, organize, and run the class and do the laundry (okay, maybe not the laundry).
· I agree to purchase the stated minimum monthly amount of merchandise (plus shipping) from the current Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue or mini catalogue (see chart below for amount per person).
· I understand that even if I cannot attend a club meeting, I must still submit my order to the hostess by the date of the meeting.
· I understand that I will commit to buying $35 a month so that we reach hostess level and each hostess gets their hostess gifts!

There will be something special on offer for those of you who commit to Stamp Club before the end of November, so contact me today to find out more!

AUGUST STAMP CLUB PROJECT

We have just finished the first Stamp Club for August and we had a great time (like normal!).  So much fun and laughter - I'm sure a "job" shouldn't be this enjoyable!

Thought I would share one of the projects that we did tonight.  This is a petal card - obviously named because of the "petals" when the card is opened.  The girls loved this one and it's such a neat way to present a card.

NEW STAMP CLUBS STARTING JANUARY 2010

If you are interested in joining a stamp club, I will be starting another 10 month club starting next January that will run until October 2010.  All members get to be hostess during that time (free hostess stamp set and hostess dollars!), as well as receiving all catalogues during that time absolutely free as well!  Add to that a fabulous monthly get together with fellow stampers who will become good friends, and it's about as good as it gets!

Happy stampin'!

HAPPY EASTER SATURDAY!

SC easter basket

I had to laugh - my 6 year old has some pretty amazing logic. He said "If Friday is Good Friday, and Sunday is Easter Sunday, then what happened to Easter Saturday??" So I'm wishing you all a fabulous Easter Saturday!

I was going to post yesterday, but I still haven't got a USB cord that works so I couldn't get my photos downloaded. Luckily I have an awesome sister who happened to have a USB cord that she let me borrow for the night ...

This is a super easy basket to create. I will do a video on it this afternoon and hopefully get it uploaded tonight to show you how to make it so that you can make them as well!

If you would like to see the video, you can check it out here: Easter Basket Video

This is one of the projects that we did at Stamp Club on Thursday (and will repeat on Monday). If you are interested in learning more about Stamp Club, give me a call on (06) 753-5337 or e-mail me on stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com and I would love to fill you in on the details but basically you commit to spend $35 a month and you get a free class just by purchasing $35 in product - pretty cool, huh?? But it gets even better - you also get to be hostess and get a free level 1 stamp set and free hostess money to spend as well!! Life doesn't get better than Stamp Club!!

Stamps: Seeing Spots, Polka Dot Background (very subtly stamped in white on the Apricot Appeal basket)

I'M GETTING ORGANISED ... FOR STAMP CLUB!!!

card organiser front 1I have decided that I have GOT to get my craft room under control, and get myself organised this year. So I have started by making this card organiser that will help me remember birthdays earlier than the day in question ...

card organiser

Stamps: Headline Alphabet
Card: Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke, Ginger Blossom designer paper
Accessories: Scallop punches (circle and long!), 1 3/8" circle punch, double-stitched ribbon

I had seen a number of these on different blogs (sorry, don't know who the originator was to give credit to), and I really liked how mine turned out, so this is what my Stamp Clubs will be making this month.

Hopefully by this time next month I will have got all the birth dates for all my favourite people put in here, and added cards for each of them, along with stamps and envelopes, so that come the week before their birthday I just have to write a note in the card and pop it in the mail box and it's finished. How much less stressful that sounds, doesn't it??

If you would like to just come and do this class with us, without joining Stamp Club permanently, you can come and make this complete project for just $20. Just make sure you drop me an e-mail asap to let me know that you want to join us as there is limited spaces available and I don't want you to miss out!

If you are interested in joining Stamp Club on a monthly basis, there are still a couple of spots left in the Monday Stamp Club that meets the 2nd Monday of each month. If you would like to join us, give me a call on (06) 753-5337 or e-mail me on stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com and I can give you all the details. They are a super fun group of ladies - always a great night away from husbands and kids (ooops - did I say that out loud??

SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE!

Embrace LifeI am having so much fun with all my new stamp sets, that I just had to share this card that is made with another new set of stamps that will be appearing in the summer mini starting December 1st.

This is a shaker card that was one of the 3 cards we made at our 3D card class tonight (as well as a suspension and a tilt card). I love the fact that starting December 1st we also have Wild Wasabi chunky glitter! What a perfect thing for using in a shaker card ...

If you would like to join us for the 2nd and 3rd weeks of this class, you can do that for just $30 for 5 more 3D cards. Learn how to make them so you can create your own works of art at home.

If you don't have a workshop already booked for December or the New Year, call me now to book your preferred dates now so you get to see all the other fabulous stuff that will be coming you way very shortly.

Contact me by calling me on (06) 753-5337 or by e-mailing me at stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com.

IF THE SHOE FITS ...

shoe This is a shoe that we made at Stamp Club this month, although they are so much cuter in real life!  While the chocolates might not last long, the shoe should last for quite a while ...

Of course you knew that I would choose Purely Pomegranate for my shoes - just such an elegant colour for elegant shoes!  The rhinestone brads just make the shoe - you know you have to have a little bling on evening shoes!!

I will be making these as door prizes during September and October, so make sure you call me or e-mail me on stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com to find out how you can win one!

BOX IN A BAG ...

Box in a Bag You have probably seen a lot of these "Box in a Bags" around lately, but I wanted to share a few of the ones that we did at Stamp Club this past week. All done with designs out of the Outlaw Designer Paper pack.

Sorry for the glare on the photo, they really do look much better in real life!

I still have spaces left in my Stamp Club that happens on the last Tuesday night of each month, so if you are local to New Plymouth and want to come and join us to do all sorts of great projects and techniques, then give me a call on (06) 753-5337 or e-mail me on stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com and ask me for more details. Lots of fun and a great group of ladies - I know you'll enjoy it if you come and stamp with us!

BOXES FOR EVERYTHING ...

box 2I wanted to share a couple of pictures of the treasure box that we made at Stamp Club last night. While I might have heard a little muttering from the "girls" about me making them actually have to choose their own cardstock and paper, I think they were all quite proud of their boxes when they took them home!

I used the Brocade Background Designer Paper - I just love that paper, it's FAB! It's so easy to use in a item like this as both sides match (takes the guess work out!).

boxThe box is really neat - the lid holds it all together, but when you take the lid off you open it to find 4 boxes inside! Just think what great goodies you could stash inside each of those ...

I am thinking about doing a kit for this project. If you would be interested in purchasing a kit with everything prepared and ready to put together, along with the instructions on how to do just that, please let me know. Cost will be $12 plus $3.50 postage in New Zealand.

Did I mention how much I love the Brocade Background DP? Here is a candle that I found in the clearance section of Warehouse that I just had to pretty up with the same pack of paper and a coloured flower from the Pretties Kit (another favourite from the new catalogue!). Pictures show "B-fore" and "B-after" as Marise says ...

THREE MORE SLEEPS...

Did you used to do that as a kid - "three more sleeps until Santa comes"? Well I'm feeling like that right now, I can't believe it is only three more sleeps until the new catalogue hits the streets and we can start ordering all those yummy new stamp sets and accessories!!

Make sure that you have put your order in for ANYTHING out of the current catalogue that you want before 9pm on March 31st so that I have time to get your order in before things disappear forever. If you want sets that are going to still be current in the new catalogue, put in your order before March 31st as well, that way you can take advantage of the 10% discount that I'm offering on all orders from now until the end of March. silk scarf

We did silk scarves at Stamp Club last night which were a huge hit, even though we can't actually buy the craft inks in New Zealand yet (I keep hoping they will be in next year's catalogue). Anyway, I wanted to share with you as we used one of my favourite sets, ROSES IN WINTER which is on the retiring list, so I had to get in one more workshop with it before it goes away for good. I won't be selling this set, it will be one of those that I keep in my personal stash just because I think it's that awesome.

It's a 2-step stamp set, so it's perfect for layering colours to create beautiful roses. We used Regal Rose, Rose Red, and then Bravo Burgundy to create these roses, with Old Olive and Always Artichoke for the leaves. Just lovely!!

ONE LAST TIME ...

envelope bag I can't believe that we are losing the envelope template out of the Stampin' Up! catalogue. In 2 days time it will be gone forever, so I had to use it "one last time" at Stamp Club on Thursday to make this cute little handbag with matching cards.

This is such an incredibly simple bag to make, and wouldn't it be just adorable to give as a gift to a friend to say "thanks for everything / anything"?

Stamps: Friendship Blooms (yes, I still have some of these sets left for you to get for free with your $120 order), Paisley (background on cards)
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Buckaroo Blue, Cranberry Crisp, Treehouse Designer Paper (retiring as well)
Inks: Cranberry Crisp, Buckaroom Blue (boo hoo - both these colours are going as well!!)
Accessories: Clear EP (the detail powder is retiring as well ...)

If you want to order any of these retiring products, make sure you phone me or get your e-mail to me before 9pm March 31st so that I can put an order in before it's too late. If you order an envelope template I'll even throw in a copy of the instructions on how to make this little bag ...
