MY BABY IS EIGHT YEARS OLD!!

It’s been a busy week – between the last of the kid’s holiday programme’s (that was great!), and $3 cards this past weekend, and a few workshops it’s been busy! 

Then my “baby” Parker turned 8 (while missing both his front teeth!).  That’s kind of scary as I was very, very pregnant with Parker when I first signed up with Stampin Up in the US, so that means that I’ve been doing this demo thing for 8 years, man do I feel old now …

Anyway, this is the card that I made for Parker.  I love the way that the numbers in the Play Date paper lend themselves to doing this sort of highlighting!

I used our new gold “Smooch Spritz” on the scallop circle, but you can’t really see it here.  I will try and sneak into Parker’s room tomorrow and “borrow” the card back and take a close up photo that will show something of how yummy and metallic the Spritz is – I was really very excited about it!

An of course, who couldn’t love the new Bunch Punch owl stamp?  He’s so cute …

Sorry about the terrible photo – I’m having issues today!  Anyway, this is a card that we just did at my workshop with the Punch Bunch set.  We will be creating 2 cards with SAB sets at $3 cards on Sunday afternoon (1 – 6pm) or Monday evening (6:30 – 9:30), so just drop in during the times noted and come and make as many cards as you want from the 5 or 6 different designs that will be ready for you!

HO HO HO – THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE!!

I don’t know about your house, but have you heard “How many more sleeps till Santa comes, Mum?” about a million times already?  Yes, it’s almost time for the big man to drop down the chimney (reminds me, I had better clean out the fireplace tomorrow!!)



I saw this cute punch art santa on Becky Roberts blog and had to have a try at making one.  Since I have lent a friend my decorations punch I had to use the large heart punch, and I changed things up a bit with other punches.  Isn’t he just too cute?  I will be offering monthly punch art card classes again starting in January, so make sure you come join us to see what other cute creations you can make with your punches.

I must admit that I was really sad when Stampin Up! discontinued the 1/4” circle punch a year ago, I had used it for so many things (especially punch art), so you can imagine how excited I was to open the new Summer mini and find that we have a whole set of 3 little punches that not only work perfectly for punch art, but also match the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set and have little Bitty Buttons that match perfectly as well – how cute is that!!!

KIDS LOVE TO STAMP!!

If you have been thinking that I must have fallen into a crevice, it’s really not like that – I’ve actually been stamping!  Between doing loads of wedding stationery for a fabulous couple who are getting married in September and Stamp Club and Kids Holiday Program this week I’ve been so busy stamping that I haven’t actually had time to blog! 

This jumbo paper clip bookmark is one of the 5 projects that the kids made at the Kids Holiday Program this week.  Next Thursday’s kids program is already full, but we’ll be making more fun projects!!

 
These are the stacks of invites, rsvp cards, thank you cards, and envelopes that I dropped to my wedding clients today.  While they turned out fabulously, they sure are a lot of work and a huge time investment!  I’m just so glad that they all came together in time to get them dropped off today so they can mail them this week.

 

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

I just have to share this card that we did in our punch art class recently.  It’s all made with the wonderful new XL Two-step Bird punch from the Autumn-Winter mini catty.  This punch is just amazing, and at $35.95 price for a 3-piece punch it’s a fabulous price as well!

A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME (a little lady bird that is) …

I saw a sticker on a car that had a ladybird on a flower as Parker and I were walking from school today and it got me thinking about punching one (as you do!).  What do you think of this cute little lady?  Don’t forget that we have another punch art class on April 15th where you can make 3 punch art cards and use punches to create things you might not have thought of …

PAC MAN

I have been prepping for the Nelson Expo for the past couple of days, so I haven’t had much time to stamp or blog, so I thought over the next few days I would share a few of the cards that we made at $2 cards this month.

I hadn’t done a kids birthday card in a while, so decided that it was time.  I saw the old Pac Man game on a website and thought that it would be a cute thing to take off, so here is my interpretation of Pac Man.  Every kid that saw it knew what it was supposed to be, so I guess that’s a good thing, eh?

Stamps:  On Your Birthday
Colours:  Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, Kraft, Whisper White
Punches: 1 1/4” circle, 1/2” circle, Wide Oval, and Scallop edge

THE KING OF THE JUNGLE

I just have to share this little cutie with you!  This is one of the 3 cards that we made last night at our punch art class.

JUMPING INTO PUNCH ART!!
