A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME ...

Stipple Rose 3I have used Stipple Rose in 2 different ways on this card - I embossed the rose onto the background of the card, and then I also stamped it in Staz-On on the front panel of the card and watercoloured it.

This is one of the cards that I did with Debbie's "Class on the Go" on Tuesday night.  If you love making cards and would like to have a girls night out at your place with a totally hands-on card-making class at your house, then this is for you!  Invite a few friends over and tell them that for just $10, they will get to make 3 cards they take home with them at the end of the night.   Lots of fun, and 3 great cards for everyone to take home at the end of the evening as well.

As the hostess, it's totally up to you what we do.  You could choose to base the whole night around 1 set of stamps (do 3 cards with the same set to show you lots of variety with your favourite set), or you could choose to do 3 birthday cards, or 3 kids cards ... the choices are unlimited!

Call me on (06) 753-5337 to schedule your Class on the Go.

Sharlene

Stamps:  Stipple Rose, Occasional Greetings, French Script (I know it's retired, but I don't have En Francais to use ...)

SCRAPPIN' FOOL ...

If you have wondered why I have been so quiet lately, it's because I've been preparing for the "Year in a Day" scrapbook class that we are doing in November! I haven't sat down and scrapped for ages, so it was a lot of fun to be able to sit and play again. Now I just have to get scrapping my own photos instead of for classes ...

Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of the pages I have come up with over the past week or so. These are just 2 of the 12 double-page spreads that you will be creating at our "Year in a Day" scrapbook class.

If you would like to scrapbook but either don't have the time, or don't know where to start, then this class is for you.

You will make a 2-page spread for each month and go home with a completed album ready for you to just stick your photos in and it's done! How about that - a whole scrapbook completed in just 1 day?

scrapbook examples

Date: 15th November, 2008
Time: To be advised
Cost: $45 for first set of pages, $40 each for second set (cost includes everything to create the pages, it does not include an album. Albums can be purchased prior to class through me if you wish)
Location: To be advised

You will complete 25 6" x 6" pages, enough to fill a complete album in one day! During the day you will complete a title page, and a double-page spread for each month from January to December. Then all you will have to do is stick your photos in when you get home or wrap it to give as a gift. It's so super easy you will wonder why you haven't done this before!

E-mail me at stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com, or call me on (06) 753-5337 to secure your spot.

$2 CARDS YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW ...

We had $2 cards at my home yesterday afternoon and will be repeating the same cards again tomorrow evening from 6:30pm until finished ... (depends how much we laugh and talk as to when we finish!)

I had a last opportunity to play with some of my favourite retiring sets. If you love the look of Roses in Winter or Stem Silhouettes, make sure you drop me an e-mail to order you one today as by tomorrow it will be too late! These are 3 of the 5 cards we did.

IMG_5721 copy

ROSES IN WINTER is one of my all-time favourite floral sets. It's just beautiful and SO easy to use. It's the easiest 2-step set we have had as far as I'm concerned - you just can't go wrong with it! Aim and stamp and you are guaranteed a fabulous flower.

IMG_5724 copy

STEM SILHOUETTES:
This was the very first card that I did with Stem Silhouettes and one of the simplest I have done, but I really like the simplicity, so we pulled it out again to use again before it retires tonight ...

IMG_5720 copy

BUGS & KISSES:
One of my customers wanted a kid's birthday card, so this was a simple one that we did yesterday. Lots of colour and bugs - what kid wouldn't love to get this card? It has the "Sending Worm Wishes on your Bug Day" stamp inside as well.

More Natural Beauty Cards

IMG_5359 copyIn case you didn't get to make it yesterday to our NATURAL BEAUTY TAKE-10 CLASS, here are a couple more of the cards that we made during the evening.  We had a fun time (although there was too much laughter and not enough stamping at some points in time - just kidding, there should never be "too much" laughter when we are in our stampin happy place!).

Everyone managed to get all 10 cards made and we even had a chance to take a break and have a piece of carrot cake that I made myself - without any help from my hubby who does all the cooking in the house!  Aren't you impressed??

IMG_5358 copy IMG_5388 copy copy

I even surprised myself by stepping out of my comfort colours (anyone who knows me knows that I naturally gravitate towards the Rich Regals and Earth Elements!!) and creating a few cards in Bold Brights (shock and horror!!!)

I will be doing a LOVELY AS A TREE TAKE-10 CLASS on March 14th, where we will create 10 different cards from the Lovely as a Tree set.  You think Natural Beauty is versatile?  Wait till you see what we can do with Lovely as a Tree!!!

Purchase "Lovely As A Tree" prior to or during class (or another set of the same value) and you can take $15 off the cost of this class!   Pay just $10 for ten cards - you won't get a cheaper class than that!!

This is an awesome way to really get jump started on thinking outside the box on how you can get the most use out of a set of stamps!

$2 CARDS TOMORROW AND MONDAY!!!

Don't forget that we have $2 cards tomorrow afternoon (Sunday February 24th - anytime between 1 and 6pm), or you can come and join us on Monday 25th in the evening anytime between 6:30 and 9:30pm.

Everything will be cut and prepared for you, just come, stamp, and put them together and you have hand-made cards with matching envelopes in no time at all at a flat cost of $2 per card.  It doesn't get easier than this ...
